Pisces Full Moon

Pisces Full Moon Eclipsed

Deborah O'Connor

Please remember that I’m writing about the pure universal vibration of Pisces, not about any single individual’s sun sign.

No two eclipses are the same. Each time the moon disappears behind the shadow of the earth, it’s sending us a message from a different sign. And so this weekend we’re offered an invitation to engage with the cosmic gifts offered us by the sign of Pisces, and we’re hoping to see what we might have ‘eclipsed’—or lost in the shadows of our busy lives—relative to engaging purely with this creative, compassionate and mystical energy.

Our eclipsed moon nudges us to stop a minute and allow for heightened awareness of all the different ways our over-wrought days might distance us from our soul’s essence, from a more pure expression of love, of creative joy . . . of perceptions of our world that originate in our soul’s light.

As this moon helps us look into the shadows of our understanding of love, we might realize that the word ‘love’ has become so bland and flat that we have no idea what it means anymore. To love ourselves, to love others, to love the world . . . We can’t fully understand this concept without first engaging with our ability to truly respect and to forgive. Think on this awhile.

Love isn’t something that we find in bed with our favorite partner; it isn’t something that embraces us because we feel adored by someone; love isn’t present in our bodies or our minds. The purity of love is found in the expression of agenda-free kindness.

Loving the world with absolute compassion is the highest bar we set for ourselves on our soul’s journey through human time.

I hesitated about even writing this column today because pure Piscean energy is so self-less and so deeply connected to the vibration of the cosmic heart that no language exists to fully capture its essence.

Yet today’s moon asks that we take another couple of baby steps into understanding the origin of Love, whose essence exists in the profound state of Being that creates and holds all of life. And we are never separate from the embrace of this eternal, essential core source of Light. But we forget all this when we choose to incarnate again into another human lifetime.

So what can we seek in the shadows of this Piscean moon that might support and enrich our days now?

* Begin to notice a desire to create something. Anything from a lattice-topped apple pie to a silly story for a child to a drawing on a brown paper bag to a blue-bird nest box. The light that we are, the light that ignites our soul, takes great de-light in creative sparking, in the play of the imagination.

* Commit to noticing the subtle inner peace that floods us when we surrender our bossy brain to the more profound awareness that exists beyond our mind. You know this: to soften the challenging and frustrating moments we need to create quiet inner space so the voice of the higher Self can find an opening and offer an alternative approach to the agenda our Monkey Mind is pushing.

  • Allow for Wonder. Engage in the world with reverence. This is love.
  • Be sure that all the spiritual discourse we promote is reflected in our day-to-day encounters.
  • Continue to explore the richest relationship to ‘love’ imaginable, learning that it lives in the expression of kindness and compassion for all Life.

I know I say this in each column, but I do truly love guiding others into a deeper understanding of their essence through the birth chart readings. New clients. Returning clients looking into the current energy cycles. Children’s charts. Relationship charts. Astrocartography readings and goddess charts. All of these offer up gems of awareness for the soul’s journey. So drop a line if you’d like to schedule a session.

Ultimately, we can be in communion with infinite dimensions when we engage deeply with Pisces. We’re reminded that our relationship to the mysterious creative source is the most primary of our bonds, and the only relationship that holds and sustains us.

Pisces helps us to enter into the flow of our soul path by encouraging us to push at the world less and surrender to the moment more.

To trust the light that is at our core.

Wishing you, and all Beings, peace and love.
