Eclipsed Virgo Moon

Eclipsed Virgo Full Moon

Deborah O'Connor

Can you feel this quieting, humbling energy in your bones?

The moon, with its brief ruby glow, offered us yet another piece in the puzzle of our times.

An eclipse returns us to light following the shadow. We get a chance to start anew, but we have to want to see with fresh eyes.

Today we could sense how this eclipse heightened awareness of anxiety but then the returning light heightened awareness of the futility of anxiety. Our gorgeous, overwrought brains have been put on notice: ‘Stop over-thinking. This particular human trait leads to rampant anxiety.’

Virgo brings us back to earth. It reminds us to value the little things that fill the world with grace notes. And when it’s eclipsed, we can see how we might have lost touch with some of what is essential in grounding our lives.

When a Virgo moon is eclipsed, we’re offered a rare chance to notice quiet inner strengths we’ve still not embraced, sometimes because we tell ourselves that what we have to offer is too ‘small’ or ‘not enough’ when, in fact, it’s a gesture made with subtle care instead of noise.

I love Virgo’s humility. I respect its endless desire to show up like a worker bee to get things done without needing a standing ovation. Coming out of the shadow of this moon’s light is the awareness that we make an essential imprint on the world through the sincerity of our gesture, through our desire to carry a little more than is ours to bear.

The core message of this Virgo eclipse is this: whatever quiet gestures you offer up, again and again, all day long, they are enough. You are enough.

With a full grateful heart, I bow to you. You are remarkable. Truly.
