Cancer Full Moon

On this third day of the new year, the moon rises in Cancer to ask us a question both simple and essential: What is it that my heart longs for?

As we leave a year that challenged our hearts from every direction imaginable, we’re entering into a year that will energize us, support our desire to move mountains with our new-found ideas and courage in hand. 

And yet we’re being led into this new time with a gentle embrace, with energy that reminds us to connect to the core values our heart has grown to cherish. Stop a minute, says this moon, and connect to your emotional intelligence because it is there that the real knowing exists outside of the noise of your overly-certain mind and all its predictions.

It’s easy to describe the heart with platitudes but more of a challenge to explore the layers of our multi-facets emotions in search of our core values, and then follow them with quiet courage.

Before it opens up all the doors and windows of this new year, the Cosmos is encouraging us fine-tune our inner compass. Our lives are going to pick up speed fast as we move out of late January. But we aren’t there yet. So let’s use these next few weeks to listen well to the intuitive wisdom woven like complex light strands inside of us, and then renew our commitment to the pure and steady guidance of our hearts.
