Capricorn Full Moon

Capricorn Full Moon

Deborah O'Connor

Steady on. You truly do have the time you need to create a stable foundation for yourself and your world.

Watch for old patterns that have you trying to control the uncontrollable. When we push too hard at controlling that which is beyond our reach, we block the magic that exists outside our perceived limits.

Go outside. Take refuge in the natural world, anything from a walk in the woods, sitting on a park bench, watching the water push at the shore or sitting on the fire escape of an inner city walk-up. Listen for the world music that has no name.

Ask yourself to gently explore your commitments—to work, to relationship, to pleasure, to self-care—and notice where you might soften or dissolve an old ‘responsibility contract’ to which you are no longer bound. Responding from a place of weary obligation adds weight to the already over-worked heart.

Listen for the misguided voice that asks you to believe you aren’t enough, haven’t worked hard enough, will never manage to feel grounded enough. It’s a phantom voice. Not yours. Pay it no mind.

This moon comes to us with the kind of presence we sense in a wizened grandparent, holding the space for us as we find new approaches to grounding and stabilizing, again and again, day after day after day.

Our masterful Capricorn moon reminds us of the subtle elegance in our ability to carry on with practical grace.

May all Being know peace.

Nature does not hurry
yet everything is accomplished.

~ Lao Zu

Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

In order to carry a positive action,
we must develop a positive vision.
