From early on, I longed to understand the nature of the invisible realms, of all that we can’t explain with our fine-tuned, logical human brains. When I started studying astrology in the 1970s, I realized I’d found a language that could create a bridge between the physical and the metaphysical worlds. As I explored the stories embedded in charts, I realized I could help people find their voice, encourage them to rise more fully into the essence of their soul story.

I should mention that in addition to my craving for more and more awareness of the nature of the cosmos, I am deeply in love with stories. This fascination with language and the spell we can cast when we choose our words with care and depth led me to a degree in English, to teaching writing in the public schools and by the time I was 33, to a career in publishing.

I was searching for words that could capture the other-worldly messages we receive from the invisible realms. I’ve studied countless metaphysical languages and continue returning to astrology as the most accurate and deep tool for unveiling the multi-dimensional journey of the soul.

When I first encountered it back in the ‘70s, the astrological language was still caught in the grip of Medieval concepts, pretty limited to stereotypes with a lot of dire and dreadful descriptions of most of the characters. As I continued to seek more depth, I studied with wise mentors who taught me how to explore the vast range of the astrological language. I learned that astrological awareness transcends dimensions and lifetimes. And I learned how to look for the high notes of the chart before I sought out the shadows.

I have devoted my work to helping others move away from the flat stereotypes and the anxiety-generating language still prevalent in so much astro-babble. I hope to encourage astro-speak that allows for the stellar range of meaning in each planet, sign and house before we go looking for their lower notes. I long for us to use this language with more elevated consciousness as we look into the complexities of a soul path.
