Mercury leaves it’s shadow

Thursday, August 6th

For the astrology lovers:

Act I: Mercury entered it’s Shadow (June 12th).

Act II: Mercury went retrograde (June 29th).

Act III: Mercury went forward and into its shadow (July 23rd).

Finale: Mercury leaves its shadow (August 6th).

Have you begun to wonder if Mercury is always retrograde? Maybe it’s an illusion that we get a break after a three week jam session? The thing is this: Mercury Retrograde cycles last anywhere from eight to nine weeks. And the cycle is divided into three parts. Like a play with an unfolding story-line, Mercury gives us plenty of time to move through evolving layers of understanding.

We’re finishing this cycle by validating for ourselves what the heart understands that the head was resisting.

Since early June, we’ve found ourselves more focused on what it means to be part of a family; to create a home. We’ve had a chance to acknowledge where we belong and where we don’t belong. Ironically, even though we’re being helped by a planet whose job is to help us think, when Mercury is using emotionally-sensitive Cancer, our minds navigate through the lens of our heart’s pure intuitive intelligence.

Intuitive intelligence is the key to finishing this summer’s Mercury cycle with grace. Allowing your lovely brain to engage with what is not necessarily logical or practical or easy but is true.

I’ll send a new column tomorrow about the full Aquarius moon arriving on Wednesday morning. But today I wanted to validate the on-going search for belonging your heart has been navigating all summer long.

Wishing you a gentle day.
