Sagittarius Full Moon
Tonight’s Sagittairus full moon is collecting its light from the Gemini sun and the Universe invites us to use our gorgeous intellect with curiosity, to be careful not to languish in a way of thinking that’s become overly precious to us.
The Gemini sun light encourages wonder while the light-receiving Sag moon longs for meaning. Our minds can expand with curiosity instead of righteousness under the influence of a moon like this.
Over 50 years ago, Pablo Neruda published “The Book of Questions” offering us thousands of lines of playful investigations. He asked things like:
“How do the oranges divide up sunlight in the orange tree?”
“How long does a rhinoceros last after he’s moved to compassion?”
“Whom can I ask what I came to make happen in this world?”
I wonder if Neruda wasn’t simply pointing to the lack of complexity and range in our logical minds.
I don’t know. Seriously. I don’t know.
Tonight’s powerful Sagittarius moon begs the question: What do you really know? And could you liberate yourself from the weight of needing to be sure?
There are facts. The earth is round. It orbits the sun. The ebola pandemic is a nightmare for those caught in its fabric. Abuse of anyone or anything is a crime against Love. But there is also an infinitude of ideas that could be explored with more curiosity than we may have called up from our depths at this point in our mind’s evolution.
Tonight’s questing moon encourages you to explore life as if it was your own personal mythic story, imprinting Time with your wonder-fueled questions, with the courage it takes to understand there really isn’t a destination in all this. Cliche that it is: the journey itself is the thing. Sagittarius knows this better than any of the other signs. It encourages us to move beyond our longing for a safe landing and continue on into the moonlight, allowing life to continue to unfold endlessly.
Wishing you wonder and peace.
