Leo Full Moon

A Leo moon begs the question: What will you do with your light? How will you focus your courage and your warmth?

Leo has access to a kind of playful buoyancy that we need to continue our soul contracts as change agents on a scale unknown in any other human time.

Too often, we feel small in the face of such tremendous challenges. But Leo helps us access the courage we need to step into any situation that may have seemed, up to this moment, too big. We are not small, none of us, but we all have different roles as we focus our attention on change. So our full moon asks us not to compare ourselves to anyone else as we activate another dimension of our courage and show up with our heart lifted.

The sticking point with Leo will always be this one: Am I seeking a way to light up the world or am I seeking power and attention? If you’re reading this note, I imagine you fall into the first of these tendencies. But there are many in our world who are still young in their awareness of how to be brave enough to be kind. 

As we move more deeply into this month, extraordinary new universal cycles will find each of us and I’m working on a longer column about these shifts. But for this afternoon, I want to remind myself that when Leo hits its high notes, it hopes we’ll find something in ourselves that remembers how to step into the warm glow filling our hearts.
